An explanation of the cookies and browser storage needed to use DustinLabs.

What do we use?
The current public website does not load advertising tags, Google Analytics or other external visitor tracking scripts. We use cookies and local browser storage for functions such as signing in, remembering your hosting selection and preventing duplicate processing. This information is not used to track you across other websites.
Strictly necessary storage does not require consent through a cookie banner. If we add non-essential tracking later, we will first request consent and provide an equally easy way to refuse and withdraw consent.
Which storage serves which function?
- dlhs_customer_session (DustinLabs cookie): keeps you signed in to your customer account. Contains a random session token, not a readable password. Valid for up to 1 day, or up to 30 days if you choose to stay signed in. Signing out ends the session sooner.
- dl-account-session-changed (localStorage): a timestamp that lets open tabs refresh their sign-in status. Remains until overwritten or the website's stored data is deleted.
- dlhs_plan, dlhs_product_type, dlhs_billing_cycle and dlhs_domain (localStorage): remembers the package, product type, billing period and domain name entered. Remains until overwritten or the website's stored data is deleted.
- dl-lead-… (sessionStorage): remembers a technical receipt code after a successful request to prevent duplicate browser events. Disappears when the tab session ends. The code contains no contact details entered in the form.
- dustinlabs_mapper_access (cookie, restricted project tool only): remembers access to Project Studio for up to 30 days or until access is revoked.
- dustinlabs-easy-mapper-v1 and dustinlabs-easy-mapper-map-id-v1 (localStorage, Project Studio only): stores the process map and selected map in the browser being used. Remains until overwritten or the website's stored data is deleted.
- WordPress administration cookies: only when the admin login is used, for authentication, cookie checks and admin settings. Session and login cookies expire when the browser session ends, when you sign out or after the configured login period; a saved WordPress login normally lasts up to 14 days, and admin settings up to 1 year.
LocalStorage has no fixed expiry date of its own. It remains on your device until the application overwrites it or you or your browser delete the website data. On a shared device, it is advisable to sign out and delete website data if needed, especially for Project Studio.
Payments and external links
At checkout, you are taken to Mollie's payment environment. That environment may use its own necessary cookies; Mollie's information applies there. An ordinary external link takes you to the relevant provider's website. External videos and social embeds are not loaded automatically on DustinLabs pages.
Manage it yourself
You can delete cookies and website data for dustinlabs.com through your browser's privacy settings. This may sign you out and remove saved preferences or locally stored process maps. Blocking essential storage may disrupt features.
