AI automation

AI automation for business processes

Do enquiries, documents and customer questions arrive as free text? AI can help organise information and prepare work. DustinLabs investigates where this is useful and builds the processing with checks for your team.

Less manual workFrom separate tasks to one workflow

Possible applications

Where can AI help with recurring work?

AI is particularly worth considering when information arrives in varying formats. The situations below are potential uses. They are not completed client projects or promises of savings.

Organise customer emails

Now
Your team reads every email to determine what the question concerns and who should respond.
Solution
The processing can suggest a topic, collect relevant information and prepare a follow-up task.
Review
A member of staff reviews uncertain cases. A draft response is only sent after the agreed approval.

Prepare documents

Now
Data from PDF documents and attachments is retyped before a file can be processed.
Solution
AI can suggest selected fields and flag missing information in a review overview.
Review
We compare the output with the source. Amounts, dates and unclear fields require an agreed check.

Prepare a quote

Now
Enquiry details are scattered across free-text messages. Someone first has to gather what is needed for a proposal.
Solution
The processing can summarise requirements and open questions for the employee preparing the quotation.
Review
Rates, delivery agreements and the final quotation remain your team's responsibility. AI does not accept an assignment.

From enquiry to use

From your question to a tested solution

  1. Choose one recurring task

We discuss the inputs, desired result and what happens if information is missing.

  2. Assess the data and suitability

We check whether a fixed rule is sufficient, which data is needed and which supplier and agreements are suitable.

  3. Test familiar exceptions

We test complete, unclear and unusual examples. Your team assesses whether the outcome is useful.

  4. Document the usage and management arrangements

We agree checks, access, usage costs and how errors or changes are handled.

Questions before you start

How does this differ from conventional automation?

Conventional automation follows fixed rules, such as adding a form submission to a customer list. AI can help interpret free text or documents. This requires additional checks because the output can be incorrect or incomplete.

Can AI take over our administration independently?

We start with a clearly scoped task. Financial decisions, customer agreements and exceptions remain with authorised staff. We do not promise that an entire administration can run without review.

Which information is sent to an AI supplier?

We establish that before development. We document the data, purpose, access and supplier, and assess which privacy and data processing agreements are needed. Do not share confidential customer files in your initial enquiry.

How do we assess whether the solution works?

We agree test examples and acceptance criteria in advance. We consider complete inputs, missing information and incorrect proposals. Any time savings can then be investigated through actual use.

Can you also build a chatbot?

Yes. View have an AI chatbot built for website visitors' questions. We also determine the information sources, limits and route to an employee.

Is this suitable for an installation company?

For installation businesses, enquiries, work orders and fault reports can involve a lot of manual work. Explore automation for installation companies, quotation preparation and scheduling and handover. We assess each task to decide whether conventional rules or AI are appropriate.
